Drawing near to God - he knows your plans

Further reading James 4:1-8 to find out why you should draw near to God and Ecclesiastes 12 to find out why it is so important.

Who better to draw close to you than God, your creator who knows you inside out? He knows you better than you know yourself. Why wouldn't you get close to God? We all have so much on our mind these days; so many worries, things to do, places to be, work commitments, caring commitments, daily pressures, bills to pay - the list goes on and we think we know best. We think we have all the answers so how come we have so many problems?

Whilst God won't prevent these additional pressures or make them or go away, He can see the bigger plan of our lives and he knows what he has planned for you and therefore will be with you throughout your trials. We can trust in God and hand all our worries over to him. You might have to go over some rocky ground to get there but trust the one who can see the bigger picture!

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded - James 4:7-8 NKJV

Feel free to share your thoughts. May your day be blessed with love and peace.

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw nigh when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them - Ecclesiastes 12:1
