Further reading - Mark 4:30-32, Matthew 13:31-32 and Luke 13:18-19
Faith can begin small, in fact, as small as a mustard seed. Get yourself a mustard seed and see how tiny it is. Your faith can begin just by reading these three verses in Mark 4. We all have to start somewhere and as you learn more about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, your faith will grow just like a mustard seed. With anything that grows, you have to water it and give it sunlight just like growing your faith requires reading your bible and prayer. This is what Jesus said about faith:
Then He said, "To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade - Mark 4:30-32
