Following God's law - being obedient and loyal

Find out more at Matthew 7:13-14, Psalm 119:165, Proverbs 3:2 and Luke 13:24

It can sometimes be hard to follow God's law when we live in a world where so many people are obsessed with possessions, worldly goods and earthly treasures but the point is, that God wants to know who is going to be obedient and loyal, that's why he gave us free will to make our own choices.

Matthew 7:13-14 clearly explains that to find eternal life, you need to follow the narrow gate and that following the broad gate leads to destruction, in other words, doing whatever you want or desire will not end well. Even if you are alone in your circle of family and friends, don't follow their lead to destruction. Be strong and do what God commands:

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14

Psalm 119:165 tells us that "great peace have those who love Your law; and nothing causes them to stumble" so keeping the commandments can help to keep you from temptation.

Trust in the Lord, follow his commandments and you shall find a peace like no other. You won't feel guilt, remorse or regret. Proverbs 3:2 tells us that when keeping the commandments, 'for length of days, and long life, and peace, they will add to you.' Keeping the commandments can bring you internal peace.

However, as you know, this world is full of temptations in a world that is against us so when you're hardest hit and doubting, keep on doing the right thing, put your trust in God, pray and let him guide you.

Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Luke 13:24

Feel free to share your thoughts. May your day be blessed with love and peace.
