Are you sometimes unsure what to believe? It can be difficult in this world today to know who to trust or who to be wary of. There are people out there who will try to lead you astray and most of us know someone who has been deceived at some point in this life.
It's just the same with some of those sharing the word of God. There are some great pastors and preachers sharing the word out there but there are also some who'll twist scripture to give you an alternative message which will lead you away from the word of God just to benefit themselves. They'll attach scripture to current day sins and try to make you believe that's it okay.
For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2 John 1:7 NKJV
As you'll read in the bible, the one who commits sin is of the devil. Instead, do what is right and be righteous, just like Jesus did and if in doubt, check your bible and read the scriptures in the full context so you know exactly what the message should be. Remember, Christ came to take away your sin and this is why you should be pure and live a godly life.
If you feel that you've been deceived, pray to God and to Jesus Christ and ask for your sins to be forgiven. Repent and turn away from that sin. Ask that He will guide you in all your steps and lead you to the truth.
Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:7-8 (NKJV)
